What is Unsecured Working Capital?

Unsecured working capital is a regularly used term for businesses to acquire capital without having to pledge any type or asset or collateral. This type of financing considers a business’s cash flow via monthly bank deposits to determine how much capital a customer could qualify for. This is typically around up to 125% of the monthly revenues and the customer pays the lender back through a daily or weekly fixed payment via ACH from that said lender.

The attributes that any lender looks at in determining how to qualify a business for this kind of financing are, type of industry, time in business, credit score, and revenue streams. Terms vary depending on the lender and business traits but typically can range from 2-24 months with accompanying rates as low as 18%, which are deemed as a factor rate. Unsecured working capital financing is different than traditional financing as it does not use a fixed term or repayment schedule, as a factor rate is used instead of APR is not used.
